Professional Background

Dr. Khanna grew up in Rockville, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He then completed a year as a post-graduate researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he conducted advanced research and published his work. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Albany Medical College in 2002.

He completed his surgical internship, otolaryngology residency, and chief residency at Albany Medical Center, finishing in 2007. Following residency, Dr. Khanna pursued a fellowship in rhinology and endoscopic sinus surgery at the California Sinus Institute in Palo Alto, California, where he gained specialized training in the medical and surgical management of complex sinonasal disorders.

In 2008, Dr. Khanna achieved Board Certification in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He later served as Director of the Sinus Institute of Northern Virginia for a decade before continuing his practice in the Washington, D.C. region.
